Burglar Strikes Wholesale Liquor Store
Suspect Makes Off with 11 Bottles of Smirnoff After Breaking Store Window
In an incident that occurred over the weekend, a local liquor store fell victim to a burglary. The incident was reported at approximately 8 am on Sunday, June 25, at Wholesale Liquor located on 2300 Planet Ave.
An employee arrived at the store to begin the day's operations, only to be greeted by a broken window on the north side of the business. Despite the window being made of laminated glass, which prevented it from shattering completely, the perpetrator managed to chip away at it, creating a hole roughly the size of a basketball.
While no physical entry into the store was made, the burglar extended their reach through the damaged window, reaching inside to seize a total of 11 bottles of Smirnoff vodka.
The act is believed to have taken place sometime between 10 pm on Saturday, June 24, and 8 am on Sunday, June 25.
