Gabbey, the blind and nearly deaf Catahoula/Australian Shepherd mix who went missing from 3419 South Crest Lane in Salina, has been found safe. She was located by staff near the Salina Regional Airport and is now back home.
Gabbey, who also answers to "Gabbey Gabs," disappeared sometime between 6 PM and midnight on Wednesday, April 16th. She was last seen the following morning near the Salina Speedway, prompting a widespread search due to her medical vulnerabilities.
Thanks to the efforts of the community and the vigilance of Salina Regional Airport staff, Gabbey has been safely reunited with her family.
Her owner, Eternity, had urged anyone with information to come forward due to the critical nature of Gabbey’s disabilities. Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word and kept an eye out.
