Police Investigate Domestic Dispute and Robbery Incident

On August 1, at approximately 11:00 am, police were dispatched to the 1200 block of West Republic Avenue in response to a domestic dispute and robbery. The incident involved a 35-year-old female victim and a 42-year-old known suspect.

The confrontation began in the 100 block of West Republic Avenue and escalated to the intersection of Broadway and Republic. The victim was in the passenger seat of a vehicle driven by a friend when they encountered the suspect. After an exchange of words, the suspect jumped into his truck and followed them.

At the stoplight at Broadway and Republic, the suspect got out of his truck and confronted the victim, forcibly grabbing her through the passenger door, ripping her shirt, and taking her phone. He later discarded the phone in the 1500 block of Cheyenne.

While no arrest has been made, the suspect has been identified, and police are actively investigating the incident.
