Saline County Commission Approves Bid for 2024 HMA Pavement and Shoulder Construction

During their meeting on May 7, 2024, the Saline County Commission discussed and approved a bid for the HMA Pavement, Profile Milling, Milling, Leveling, and Aggregate Shoulder Construction project.

With only one bid received, APAC-Kansas was awarded the contract for an estimated work amounting to $1,032,863.35. The commission accepted the staff recommendation and agreed to fund the project from the budgeted line item "Contractual Asphalt Work," with additional funds of $209,366.78 from Saline County's Federal Fund Exchange.

All asphalt and shouldering work is mandated to be completed by December 1, 2024, with no work permitted during wheat harvest. The decision was made during the meeting.
