Two Cited After 3-Vehicle Accident in East Salina

A 3-vehicle accident leaves at least one with possible injuries and two being cited.

Captain Forrester says that the accident occurred on Monday, April 10 at 2:40 pm, in the 600 block of S Ohio. A 2013 Chevy Traverse, driven by a 60-year-old Tescott, KS, woman, was northbound on Ohio. The vehicle was stopped to turn left on Prescott, which is illegal.

The Traverse was rear-ended by a 2016 Jeep Patriot, driven by a 26-year-old Salina woman, who was rear-ended by a 2016 Lincoln MKX, driven by a 67-year-old Salina man.

The Traverse had a 44-year-old male passenger, who was uninjured. The driver of the Jeep was treated and released by EMS at the scene for possible injuries.

The Chevy had rear end damage, and was removed by the driver. The Jeep had both rear and front end damage, and was removed by the driver. The Lincoln had front end damage and was removed by the driver.

The driver of the Chevy was cited for failure to obey a traffic sign. The driver of the Lincoln was cited for following too close.
