Three New Exhibitions Open at Salina Art Center
The Salina Art Center is set to unveil three new exhibitions, showcasing the work of artists Ann Resnick, bARBER, and the duo James Kinser & Niki Grangruth. These exhibitions, exploring themes of identity, perception, and self-reflection, will run from September 25 through December 29, 2024.
Exhibitions on View:
- Ann Resnick | Tell Me What You Think of Me, Part One: Something to Divine (West Gallery)
- bARBER | Smile, porque nos pasó (South Gallery)
- James Kinser & Niki Grangruth | Muse (East Gallery)
To celebrate the opening, a special reception for Ann Resnick will be held on Friday, September 27, from 5-7 PM at the Salina Art Center, located at 242 S. Santa Fe Ave. The reception will offer visitors the opportunity to meet Resnick and explore her exhibition, which invites viewers to engage with abstract, large-scale spray-painted images and reflect on how personal perception influences meaning. Curated by Ksenya Gurshtein, the exhibition encourages both introspective and communal dialogue.
The reception will also feature interactive activities for attendees, including tarot readings, Myers-Briggs personality tests, and a handwriting sample station for participation in Resnick’s larger 2026 project.
Refreshments and drinks will be provided, and future exhibition receptions for bARBER and Muse are scheduled for October 9 and November 8, respectively.
