The Science of Sound

Going to school online is more than what you might think. Especially when the field trips involve Mr Beach.

Salina Virtual Innovation Academy is a virtual K - 12 public school serving Salina. The Academy was created just this past summer as a way to offer a learning alternative for parents and kids who need it.

While a majority of the school activities are completed online, in person activities are available to fulfill the social needs for students.

Mrs Crowther's 3rd and 4th graders had an in person activity called The Science of Sound. Mr Beach brought in musical instruments and taught the students about sound waves, and what happens to the sound the instruments create once the instrument is played.
