Teen Pedestrian Injured While Crossing In Crosswalk

Salina Police and EMS responded to an injury accident on Tuesday, December 28, at 4:55 pm, at Schilling and Marcella.

A 2007 Lincoln MKX, driven by a 29-year-old female from Salina, was northbound on Marcella when the driver attempted to make a lefthand turn onto Schilling. A 17-year-old female from Salina was southbound in the crosswalk when she was struck by the vehicle.

The pedestrian was transported to SRHC by EMS, with a possible broken wrist and abrasions on the left side of her body.
