Severe Storms with Potential Tornadoes Expected Across Central Kansas Today

Storms are expected to develop early this evening across Western Oklahoma and Western Kansas and track east, affecting central and south central Kansas after 6 pm. Very large hail up to baseball size along with 75 mph winds will be possible with the stronger storms. Locations generally south of Highway 400 will have the highest tornado potential in the 6 pm to 10 pm time frame. Storms are expected to become more numerous after 10 pm, especially across east and northeast Kansas.
