Salina, KS – June 30, 2025 – Salina Area Technical College is proud to announce a $10,000 donation from Nex-Tech in support of the college’s newest facility: the Industrial Maintenance and Automation (IMA) Building. This contribution will enhance educational opportunities for students pursuing careers in one of the region’s fastest-growing and most in-demand technical fields.
The IMA Building will house Salina Tech’s newly launched Industrial Maintenance and Automation program, designed to train students in maintaining and programming advanced robotics—skills critical to both local industries and the global economy.
“Nex-Tech has been a long-time partner of Salina Tech, providing essential services that support our campus-wide technology infrastructure,” said Dr. Greg Nichols, President of Salina Area Technical College. “We’re incredibly thankful they continue to believe in our mission and are investing in the future of technical education. Their support is vital to expanding opportunities in high-demand fields.”
The new facility features state-of-the-art labs and training spaces where students gain hands-on experience with electrical systems, hydraulics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and modern automation technologies. The program equips graduates with the technical expertise needed to keep today’s industries running efficiently and safely.
“Nex-Tech is thrilled to support Salina Tech’s expansion and the new IMA Building,” said Jimmy Todd, CEO and General Manager of Nex-Tech. “Technical education is vital to our communities and to preparing students for the future.
