SALINA, Kan. — “I am so excited to represent Salina while cheering on the best team in the NFL,” said Vannetta Johnson, a 2023 graduate of Salina South High School, in an exclusive statement to Salina311 following her selection to the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleading Team.
Johnson earned her spot on the elite NFL squad after progressing through a highly competitive audition process. A dedicated student-athlete and trained dancer, she will now perform on one of the biggest stages in professional sports.
A longtime member of both the Revolution Dance Company and Prestige School of Dance, Johnson trained and performed at a high level for years, building her technique and presence through local and national opportunities.
Kristal Venters, director of Prestige, reflected on Johnson’s growth and drive:
