Salina Regional Health Center’s Women & Infant Services has been recognized by the High 5 for Mom & Baby Premier program for its commitment to improving maternal and infant health. This initiative, developed by the United Methodist Health Ministry Fund, supports Kansas hospitals in implementing ten evidence-based practices that promote successful breastfeeding and positive health outcomes for mothers and babies.
The High 5 for Mom & Baby Premier program also aims to reduce racial and ethnic health disparities by providing resources and a structured framework for hospitals to follow. The ten practices focus on breastfeeding support, individualized infant feeding counseling, rooming-in policies, and community breastfeeding support upon discharge.
"We are honored to receive this recognition," said Lori Faerber, Director of Women & Infants Services at Salina Regional Health Center. "The High 5 practices not only improve health outcomes but also enhance patient satisfaction."
Salina Regional Health Center will continue to receive ongoing support, education, and resources as part of the High 5 for Mom & Baby Premier program.
