On Friday, the 13th at approximately 8 a.m., Salina police were dispatched to Casey's General Store, located at 725 West Schilling, in response to a report of a man making violent threats. A concerned customer overheard the man, later identified as Johnny Baldwin, 37, of Salina, allegedly threatening to "shoot up a school" and alerted authorities.
According to the police report, Baldwin allegedly made the threat while standing in line at the store. Officers arrived at the scene shortly after the call and took Baldwin into custody on charges of making a criminal threat. No weapons were found during the investigation.
Baldwin remains in custody as authorities continue their investigation. There have been no reports of any further danger related to the incident.
