Salina Gymnasts Place in National Competition

Eight Salina gymnasts competed in National competition, where the talented kids brought home medals and smiles. The competition was in Orlando, Florida at the World Center Marriott. There were 32 districts represented with over 3,000 gymnasts.
Sky Gymnastics (now Genesis Gymnastics) had 8 gymnasts representing Missouri Valley. Each gymnast competed against other gymnasts in their respective age groups. Four of our gymnasts made the Nationals team on various events. To make the Nationals team on an event, the gymnast must get the highest score in her session. One made the Nationals 10.0 club.
Level 2's
Brooklynn Cline, 8 years old, took 1st place on all 4 events and is National All Arrnmd Champion. She made the National team on Bars with a 10.0 and Beam with a 9.825. She also made the Nationals 10.0 club.
Sophia Xidis, 7 years old, took 1st place on all 4 events and is National All Around Champion. She made the Nationals team on Bars with a 9.85 and Beam with a 9.85.
Kendall Sare, 7 years old, placed 2nd on Vault and all around. 3rd on Bars, 5th on Beam, & 4th on Floor.
Emma Rondeau, 11 years old, placed 6th on Vault, 1st on Bars, 3rd on Beam and All Around, and 4th on Floor. She made the Nationals team on Bars with a score of 9.95.
Level 3's
Aubree Kasper, 10 years old, placed 6th on Vault, 2nd on Beam, & 7th in All Around.
Charlee Lancaster, 11 years old, placed 6th on Bars and 8th in All Around.
Level 4-
Emma Hamm, 11 years old, placed 4th on Vault & Bars and 3rd on Beam, Floor, & All Around.
Skylar Berning, 11 years old, placed 3rd on Vault & Bars, 2nd on Beam and All Around, & 1st on Floor. She made the Nationals team on Floor with a 9.8.
The Salina gymnasts brought home 12 gold medals, 5 silver medals, 8 bronze medals, 6 Nationals event team qualifiers, and one 10.0 Nationals club member.
