SALINA, Kan. — Tahlia Morris, a graduating senior from Salina Central High School, will continue her education and basketball career this fall at Manhattan Christian College, where she plans to major in Sports Psychology.
Throughout her four years at Salina Central, Tahlia has been a consistent high-achiever, earning a spot on the honor roll every year. She participated in both basketball and track and field during all four years of high school, showcasing her dedication to academics and athletics.
Beyond school, Tahlia has been actively involved in her community. She participated in the Xcel after-school program and The City Teen Center since middle school. During her junior and senior years, she also served as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, volunteering as a "Big" and giving back to local youth.
Tahlia was inducted into the National Honor Society as a junior and earned multiple academic honors and scholarships as a senior, including:
- Salina Rotary Scholarship
- Ivy A. Monk Scholarship
- Salina Central Game Day Scholarship
- Kansas Scholars Curriculum Award
- AVCTL Distinguished Senior Scholar/Athlete Award
On the basketball court, Tahlia earned a varsity letter her senior year and was named to the AVCTL Division II All-League Honorable Mention team. She was also recognized for scoring the most points during the 2024–2025 season. Additionally, she was a four-year member of the Salina Central Basketball Shot Club.
With a strong foundation of leadership, service, and academic excellence, Tahlia Morris is poised for success as she begins her next chapter at Manhattan Christian College.
