Police Apprehend Suspect with Outstanding Warrants After Late-Night Chase

In the late hours of November 16, at 11:39 pm, an officer allegedly observed 19-year-old Michael Dyson of Salina, as he was seen walking in the 1200 block of N. 7th. The officer recognized Dyson, who was believed to have a felony warrant out of Saline County District Court, in addition to multiple misdemeanor warrants from the Salina Municipal Court.

Upon being approached by the officer, Dyson allegedly fled the scene, initiating a pursuit that culminated in his eventual arrest. However, Dyson allegedly exhibited uncooperative behavior and resisted arrest even after being handcuffed. Subsequently, officers resorted to utilizing a body wrap on Dyson.

Dyson was also allegedly found to be in possession of a piece of aluminum foil with burnt residue, possible of fentanyl use.
