Pedestrian Cited After Allegedly Jumping in Front of Vehicle

On Monday, November 13, at 8:04 am, officers responded to an incident in the 400 block of S 9th. Initially reported as a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident, an investigation allegedly revealed that a male individual deliberately jumped in front of a southbound 2013 white Dodge Avenger, causing damage to the vehicle's windshield.

The incident unfolded on the west curb line, where the pedestrian allegedly intentionally positioned himself in the path of the oncoming vehicle. Following the collision, the injured pedestrian was transported to SRHC. He was cited for property damage and being in the right of way.
