Parking Lot Mill & Inlay Project Update

The City of Salina recently provided a news release regarding repairs to be performed during the week of November 12-18, 2023, on the parking lot located in the northwest quadrant of Santa Fe and Ash Street. While the contractor originally intended to complete the work within a week, several factors, including a very large tree root ball, several areas needing full-depth replacement, and inclement weather led to additional time being required to properly finish the project.

The parking lot has been striped and curb stops are being installed Friday, December 1, 2023. The parking lot is scheduled to be opened for full public use once the curb stops have been installed. The cost of this parking lot restoration project is approximately $98,000, which is only a small component of the City’s 2023 mill and inlay projects, which totaled $1.016M.
