The Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police Valor Award banquet, held on May 3, recognized Officer Cory Chambers for his exceptional act of bravery. The decorated officer was among the 67 recipients of the prestigious award from across the state. Officer Chambers was honored with the Bronze Medal for Valor, following his courageous efforts in saving a suicidal person from the Iron Ave. bridge in July 2022. Kansas Highway Patrol Technical Trooper Barta also played a crucial role in the rescue mission. The event was a true testament to Officer Chambers' heroism and dedication to duty.
