OCCK, Inc. Transportation has announced changes to Salina's fixed-route bus system, Salina CityGo, scheduled to take effect August 4, 2025. The modifications include route adjustments and the addition of free Wi-Fi service on all buses.
According to OCCK, the route changes are designed to streamline service and reduce travel times. New signage will be installed at affected bus stops, and updated route information is available online.
The changes stem from feedback collected through the Salina CityGo Customer Satisfaction Survey and public forums conducted throughout the community, according to Trell Grinter, Director of Transportation at OCCK, Inc.
"We're making routes faster and more efficient based on feedback directly from our riders, and now we're adding free Wi-Fi to make riding even more convenient," Grinter said in a statement.
Salina CityGo currently provides service to more than 80 percent of Salina. OCCK, Inc. operates the system in partnership with the City of Salina and the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), managing a fleet of buses and more than 180 bus stops.
The transportation service is designed to provide accessibility for all riders throughout the coverage area.
