Ladora Joan Fedele
Ladora Joan Fedele, 85, of Salina, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022. She was born May 8, 1937, in Salina.
She was a housewife and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; August L. and Margorie (Wolfe) DeLaney, and a granddaughter; Hailey Fedele (Jan. 15, 2000).
Survivors include her beloved husband of 66 years; John E. Fedele, Jr., and her 4 children; John B. Fedele of Havelock, NC., Kimberlyn S. Mason of Jacksonville, FL., Anthony M. (Jirina) Fedele of Fairmont, SD., and Daniel P. (Stacey) Fedele of Nashville, TN., a brother; Gary “Doug” (Trish) DeLaney of Virginia Beach, VA., 8 grandchildren; Angela D. Fedele and Anthony J. Fedele, both of Havelock, NC., Meghan C. Fedele of Rapid City, SC., Gabriel M. Fedele of Fairburn, SD., Emily Fedele, Tyler Fedele, and Abbey Fedele all of Nashville, TX., and 6 great grandchildren; Kevin M. Cornwall of Havelock, NC., Elyse D. Latham of Maryville, TN., Lily Davidson of Havelock, NC., Addison Fedele of Fayetteville, NC., Alexas Fedele of Rapid City, SD., and Mason Lee of Nashville, TN.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30am, Friday, July 29, 2022, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.

Walter Wayne Fuller
Walter Wayne Fuller, 87, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022. He was born in Salina to Charles and Emily (Phillips) Fuller.
Wayne and his father started the Fuller Septic Service and in later years added the portable toilet service.
Wayne ran the business for 65 years, selling the business in 2016 and retiring.
He and his twin brothers had a true love for racing and were never too far from the racetrack.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Emmie; daughter, Carol; sister, Barbara Ingram; and brothers, Larry Fuller and Garry Fuller.
He is survived by his son, Kenny Fuller; companion, Jo Ann McCullick; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

Ronald "Ron" D. Vance
Ronald "Ron" D. Vance from Salina, KS, passed away at his home on July 25, 2022. He was born August 28, 1950, to Donald and Alma (Archbold) Vance.
He married Janny Vance (Dauber) on July 28, 1989. He was also blessed to have two wonderful children and 3 grandchildren, who he loved deeply.
He is survived by his wife: Janny, daughter: Shannon Vance of Salina KS, son: Darin Vance (Janice Nipper Vance) of Minneapolis, KS, brother: Larry Vance and grandchildren: Balie Stamps of Salina KS, Brody Vance, and Shelby Vance of Minneapolis KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Vance.
He requested to be cremated and to have no funeral. Interment will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at All Saints Cemetery, Salina with Fr. Fred Gatschet as celebrant.

Ron lived a very good life doing the things he enjoyed by doing them his way. He will be deeply missed and always loved.
Rosalee Mary Steimel
Rosalee Mary Steimel, 61, of Salina, Kansas, died July 25, 2022. Rose was born on May 26, 1961, in Ellinwood, Kansas. She was the youngest child of Herman and Waneta Steimel, granddaughter of Martin and Adela Vogel and Adolph and Anna Steimel.
As the youngest of six children, Rose was close to her siblings, nieces, and nephews her entire life. She graduated from Claflin High School in 1979 and Barton County Community College with a full tennis scholarship. She earned a B.S. in Business and Data Processing Magna Cum Laude in 1982 as well as a M.B.A. in 1983 from Fort Hays State University. In 1991, Rose completed her Ph.D. from Kansas State University in Curriculum and Instruction within Computer Science.
Rose was a college professor in computer studies and taught at Fort Hays State University, Marymount College, Benedictine College in Salina, and Kansas Wesleyan University. Throughout the years, she was promoted to Professor of Computer Studies and Assistant M.B.A. Director. Rose served as Chairperson of the Department of Computer Science, Chairperson of the Division of Natural Sciences, and served on many faculty and university committees. Rose retired from KWU in 2020 and was named Professor Emeritus in Computer Studies.
Surviving family include her sister, Carol Ahlvers, with her children, Leslie (Andrew) Amick, and Nolan (Lindsay) Ahlvers. She is survived by her brother, Lyle (Barbara) Steimel, and their children, Jessica Steimel, Adam (Kat) Steimel, Kimberly Steimel, and Dan (Liz) Steimel. She is survived by her sister, Sharon Steimel and husband Steve Thomas with their children, Kelly (Dave) Lohrmeyer, Eric (Erica) Thomas, and Drew Thomas and wife, Mallory Krahn. Her deceased brothers’ children are Della Strait, Pam (Scott) Wiederholt, Deb Steimel (Joe) Clair, Charles (Sarah) Steimel; and Carrie Steimel. She is survived by sister-in-law, Lorene Steimel. Also, Rose had 29 great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Steimel, sister-in-law Maridell, brother Glenn Steimel, and brother-in-law David Ahlvers.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1000 Burr Oak Lane, Salina, KS. A vigil will be held at 9:30 a.m. for a rosary and reflection. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Salina.

John Neil (Stevens) Jednoralski
John Neil (Stevens) Jednoralski died July 21, 2022, in Grand Island, NE. He was born to John Joseph and Mattie Stevens in Chicago, IL, on August 19, 1946.
Neil grew up in Chicago and went to Chicago Public Schools (Lovett Elementary School and Steinmetz High School.) Neil went to the University of Illinois, Urbana / Champaign, and graduated with a BS in Agricultural Science, a BS in Agricultural Engineering (soil and water conservation) and a Commission in the USAR, Corps of Engineers as 2LT (he was on Brigade Staff of IL AROTC as a junior, Brigade Command Sergeant Major). Neil served two years on active duty, with the Corps of Engineers, at Ft. Belvoir, VA, Ft Riley, KS, and Vinh Long, Mekong Delta, South Vietnam. While in Vietnam, he was the Battalion Construction Engineer, Battalion Reaction Force Commander, Battalion Civil Engineer and Battalion Assistant Operations Officer, for the 36th Engineer Battalion (Construction) in 1971. The Battalion was a Distinguished Unit that year.
Neil returned to the states to an engineering position with the State of Illinois, Division of Water Resources, as a hydraulic engineer. He continued his education at the University of Illinois, Springfield, Illinois, with graduate work in climatology / meteorology and environmental geology. Neil then started work in the private engineering consulting field and worked for three engineering consulting firms (Springfield, IL; Harrisburg, PA; South Bend, IN) as the engineer in charge of about 100 FEMA Flood Insurance Studies. He moved to Salina, KS, and worked over 10 years for Bucher, Willis & Ratliff on flood insurance studies in KS, and hydrology / hydraulics in KS, NE and MO. Neil started working for MKEC, Wichita, KS, on flood insurance study revisions, the Wichita water system, and Wichita drainage.
Neil finished his engineering career, working over 7-yrs with Kirkham Micheal, Ellsworth, KS. He was the distribution engineer for Post Rock Rural (Ellsworth #1) Water District; was landfill engineer for Kiowa County during the Greensburg, KS, tornedo; prepared numerous drainage studies in KS and CO; was landfill engineer for numerous western KS landfills, and was design engineer on a Design/Build project, with Smoky Hill Construction, of 4 motor pool expansions and a child development center on Custer Hill, Ft Riley, KS.
Neil was a Life Member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, Kansas Society of Professional Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Salina 1432, American Legion, Salina 62, Disabled American Veterans, Salina 11; a 40-yr member of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, a former Chair of the Smoky Hill / Saline River Basin Advisory Committee and a member of the Salina City River Development Committee.
Neil was preceded in death by his wife of 21-yrs, Susan Ann (Clark Meyer Short) Jednoralski. They were married on 22, March 1986.
He is survived by his sisters; Jane and Joyce and 6 stepchildren; Jesse Meyer, Jeffrey Meyer, Judy Lenherr, John Meyer, JoLisa Fry and Jann Gunkle.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 3, 2022, in the Osborne Cemetery, Osborne, KS. Neil will be buried behind, on the east, of his great grandfather, Samuel Robinson, a GAR Civil War veteran, and KS. Homesteader in Delhi Township, Osborne County, KS.
Memorials are suggested to the Vietnam Veterans of America and Disabled American Veterans.
Keith Eldon Sullivan
Keith Eldon Sullivan, 90 years old, died July 23, 2022 at his home in Prescott Valley. He was born September 26, 1931 in Salina, KS to Eldon and Coral Sullivan. His Father died when Keith was a few months old and his Mother died when he was three. He was then adopted by his grandparents, Clarence and Maude Sullivan.
Keith attended school in the Salina School system. At age 16, with Clarence's permission, he enlisted in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, he earned his GED. Keith truly loved his time in the Navy. His greatest passion in the Navy was when he was sailing aboard submarines. His time in the service included the Korean War and the Vietnam conflict. He was a Chief Electrician's Mate when he retired from the Navy on March 21, 1967, after serving 20 years. Returning to Salina, Keith worked as an electrician for Electrical Equipment Company and B & W Electric.
He pursued his love of drag racing for several years with his car, a Hurst/Olds he called Quicksilver, winning many trophies. Keith also enjoyed playing golf.
Keith married Sandra (Von Fange) Pliakis on June 27, 1970 and soon after adopted her daughter, Mary. This union was blessed with one son, Eric. In 1996 Keith and Sandra retired to a home they had built for them in Prescott Valley, AZ. Keith continued working part time for an electrical company. He and Sandra also joined the local Moose Lodge where he was very actively involved and held various leadership roles. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, adopted brothers and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clarence and Deloise Von Fange.
Survivors include Sandra, his wife of 52 years; his daughter, Mary (Dean) Aebischer and son, Eric Sullivan; brother-in-law, Larry (Quenana) Liggett; grandchildren, Bekki (Mitchell) Scanlan, Andrew Aebischer (Jenni Hardesty) and Alec Aebischer; great-grandchildren, Orrin and Arya Scanlan; three nieces and six nephews also survive Keith.
Family will be receiving visitors Tuesday, August 2, 2022, from 5 - 8 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th Street, Salina.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3rd at Ryan Mortuary. Interment will follow in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
Bryan Wayne Baier
Bryan Wayne Baier, 61 of Salina, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022. He was born July 1, 1961, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He worked for 26 years as a maintenance tech at Exide Battery.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Donalda (Augustowski) Baier, and father; Harold Baier, 2 brothers; Justin Baier, and Daryl Baier, a grandson; Attycus Zelenka and a granddaughter; Athyna Zelenka.
Survivors include his daughter; Kaela M. Baier and significant other; Matt Zelenka, of Salina, granddaughter; Alyce Baier-Ritchey, grandson; Adonys Zelenka, Bonus Daughters; Lindsey Rowe, of Wichita, and Cearra Davis Reinert (Wyatt), of Michigan, Bonus Granddaughters; Krenleigh, Rylee, Bonus Grandson; Sylis, sisters; Debi (Cary) Holcomb, of Manhattan, and Jennifer (Duce) McConnell, of Wichita, nieces; Tasha, Sara, nephews; David, Damien, Trey, Malachi, Gabriel, and Abram, uncles; David Baier, and Dennis Augustowski, aunts; Chris Piekarski, Kathy Wisniewski, Geri Augustowski and Lori (Ken) Rainer.

Mark R Bennett
Mark R Bennett, 51, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday July 20, 2022, in Salina. He was born April 8, 1971, in St. Louis, Missouri. He spent his childhood in Ellsworth, where he graduated from Ellsworth High School.
Mark used his skills from growing up in his family’s flooring business and had a career as a flooring installer. He had a great reputation for his workmanship clear up until he became ill and then had to retire.
He was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) in April 2018. He continued to work until his body gave out on him in which he moved to Salina to live with his sister, Jennifer, and her family. He still had a will to live out life to the fullest, even with his limitations. His nieces Ashley, Alyssa, and Arica all helped make this happen and took him anywhere from concerts to the top of Pikes Peak. He loved his family and was looking most forward to meeting his first grandchild Jaxxon in August.
He was blessed at the end stages with some great caretakers that went above and beyond to bring him comfort.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Reuben and Alma Bennett, Ellsworth and maternal grandparents, Quentin, and June Eklund, Ellsworth.
He is survived by his son; Quentin (Jocelyn) Bennett of Hutchinson, his parents; Richard, and Machelle Bennett of Abilene, his two sisters Jennifer (Todd) Fitzgerald, and Stephanie (Tom Forristal) Bennett, both of Salina and a brother; Matt Bennett of Colorado Springs, CO., 10 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at 10:00am, Friday, July 29, 2022, at Roselawn Memorial Park, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.
