KWU Men’s Volleyball falls to No. 9 Jamestown
Kansas Wesleyan Men's Volleyball fell to No. 9 ranked Jamestown in straight sets on Friday night at Harold Newman Arena – 25-6, 25-16, 25-14.
Jamestown scored the first 11 points of the opening set before a service error got the Coyotes on the board at 11-1. The quick start was too much for the Coyotes to handle as KWU fell in the opening set 25-6.
KWU scored the first point of the second set but trailing 9-6, Jamestown scored four straight points to take a 13-6 lead in the set. The lead stayed in the 6 to 8 point range for the Jimmies the remainder of the set as Jamestown won 25-16.
Jamestown scored the first four points in the third set, but the Coyotes were right there trailing 10-6 when the Jimmies pushed out to a 14-7 lead. Jamestown led 16-12 when the Jimmies closed the match on a 9-2 run for the 25-14 win.
Justin Burras, Ryan Wagner and Viet Nguyen had three kills each for the Coyotes. Tyler McUne had 10 assists and Jeremy Lapeze had seven digs.
KWU returns to action on Saturday heading to Sioux Center, Iowa to take on Dordt.
