Man Arrested after Woman Found Running Down Street

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 20, at approximately 6 am, officers responded to a call in the 1000 block of Johnstown. The report indicated a woman in the vicinity running and screaming. The 31-year-old victim, who had sustained minor injuries, stated that she had been a victim of battery. Emergency services transported her to SRHC for medical attention.

According to the victim, the alleged battery occurred between 10:30 pm on Tuesday, December 19, and the time officers located her. She recounted being assaulted by a known individual throughout the night. The assailant allegedly forcibly took her Apple phone and bag, subjecting her to physical harm, choking, and threats involving a weapon.

Law enforcement identified the potential suspect as 26-year-old Deshawn Gosha. Subsequently, Gosha was apprehended and is now facing charges including aggravated battery, robbery, criminal threat, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and two counts of battery.
