Kansas Wesleyan continued its experience in the 2023 NAIA Men's Track and Field National Championships as Eryk Kyser competed in the long jump and Mark Benjamin ran in the 100m preliminaries at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Kyser would claim NAIA All-America status in the long jump with a second place finish in the event.

Kyser sat in second place after the first jump of the day where he had a mark of 7.46m. In his fifth jump of the day, Kyser bettered slightly with a mark of 7.49m, to hold the second place position in the final standings.

He narrowly finished second to Goodness Iredia from Cumberland (Tenn.) who had a mark of 7.63m in his first jump of the day which held for the top mark in the event.

Kyser bettered William Jones from Life University who was third with a mark of 7.44m.

It's Kyser's first All-America honor and equals the best finish for KWU Track and Field athlete at the National Championships in program history.

Also on the track Mark Benjamin ran in the preliminaries of the 100m dash.

Benjamin ran a time of 10.73 seconds, finishing 33rd in the preliminaries, and did not qualify for finals.
