Kansas Wesleyan Invites Community Celebration for the Grand Opening of Coyote Village – First Student Housing in Nearly Six Decades
In a momentous occasion for Kansas Wesleyan University, the institution is set to unveil its latest addition to campus living with Coyote Village – the first newly constructed student housing in almost 60 years. To mark this milestone, KWU extends a warm invitation to the community to join in the festivities during a special open house event on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 10 am-noon.
Situated at the intersection of Claflin and Highland avenues, Coyote Village stands just across from KWU's Shriwise Dining Hall, promising a convenient and vibrant living space for students. The community open house provides an opportunity for neighbors, supporters, and well-wishers to explore the new facility and share in the excitement of this significant development.
Coyote Village is scheduled to open its doors for student occupation in January, ushering in a new era of modern, purpose-built housing for the university community. This marks a historic moment for KWU, as Coyote Village is the first student housing project since the completion of Wesley Hall in 1969.
As part of the open house celebration, holiday treats will be generously provided, adding a festive touch to the event. KWU encourages everyone to come together and be a part of this joyous occasion, celebrating not only the unveiling of Coyote Village but also the spirit of community that defines Kansas Wesleyan University.
