Kansas Wesleyan to Host First-Ever Homeschool Visit Week
Kansas Wesleyan University (KWU) will host its inaugural Homeschool Visit Week from November 11-15, opening its doors to the growing homeschool community in Kansas. This special event aims to provide homeschooled students and their families with an opportunity to explore the university’s academic offerings and campus environment.
Ken Oliver, KWU’s executive vice president of advancement and university operations, highlighted the significance of this initiative, noting the increasing number of homeschooled students in the state. “Some statistics show that the rate of new Kansas homeschooling families has tripled in recent years,” Oliver said. “We’re happy to welcome all homeschoolers from across the state to visit anytime, but particularly this week.”
KWU’s Homeschool Visit Week reflects the university’s commitment to inclusivity and its focus on attracting academically minded students. KWU has recently elevated its admissions standards, and the event is designed to promote the university as an ideal option for homeschooled students seeking personal attention and a strong academic environment.
Students can register for a campus visit at www.kwu.edu/visit, and KWU encourages students from all educational backgrounds to explore the opportunities the university offers.
