Kansas State University Salina, in partnership with the Kansas Department of Commerce and Pure Imagination Labs, is set to break ground on the new K-AIRES Center on Friday, August 30. The state-of-the-art spatial computing facility will feature cutting-edge equipment and immersive technology designed to revolutionize the education experience and push the boundaries of 21st-century learning.
The K-AIRES Center will empower faculty and researchers to utilize immersive environments in ways that reimagine education. It will emphasize hands-on application through embedded industry projects, encouraging collaborative, multidisciplinary problem-solving as a central part of the learning process. The facility will also serve as the new home for Pure Imagination Labs, an award-winning independent entertainment studio renowned for blending proprietary technology with innovative storytelling.
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 30, just south of the netted pavilion on the K-State Salina campus, located at 2310 Centennial Road.
