High Winds and Extreme Fire Danger Forecast for Salina

Very strong south winds are forecast for today. Lightweight outdoor objects will blow around easily, and travel may become difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Very high to extreme grassland fire danger is also expected along and west of the Flint Hills. If a fire gets started, it may spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged, and do what you can to avoid causing a spark.
