Arrest Made in Early Morning Drug Case at Kwik Shop

In the early hours of Tuesday, June 6, at approximately 3 am, a possible drug-related incident unfolded at the Kwik Shop located at 1727 W Crawford. An officer allegedly observed a male individual engaging with the front passenger of an SUV in the parking lot. During this encounter, the officer allegedly witnessed the male accepting a backpack from the female.

The officer proceeded to make contact with the male subject, identified as Joshua Norris, a 33-year-old resident of Salina. This encounter took place in the 800 block of Willow Dr. Mr. Norris allowed the officer to search the backpack in question.

The search allegedly yielded the discovery of several items, including digital scales, possible methamphetamine, and two packages of possible marijuana.

Joshua Norris was arrested on requested charges including possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no drug tax stamp.
