Salina, KS – Salina is about to welcome a new destination for music lovers with the opening of Gryphon’s Wing Records, owned and operated by Salina natives Jonathan Hess and Olivia Hamilton. The store will cater to both longtime collectors and newcomers, offering an extensive selection of new and preowned records, CDs, and cassette tapes, along with the equipment and accessories needed to enjoy them.
Located in Salina’s growing retail scene, Gryphon’s Wing Records is designed to be a one-stop shop for all things vinyl and cassette. The store will feature several models of Audio-Technica turntables, Edifier-powered bookshelf speakers, and retro Walkman-style cassette players imported from France. To keep collections in top shape, customers will also find replacement cartridges, cables, and record cleaning supplies.
Beyond just selling music, the store will provide a buy, sell, and trade service for those looking to refresh their collections. Whether customers are searching for rare pressings, selling albums, or picking up a new favorite, Gryphon’s Wing Records aims to be a hub for music enthusiasts. Special orders will be available for new albums, ensuring access to a broad range of artists and genres.
For added convenience, the store will launch an online shop where customers can browse inventory and place orders for in-store pickup. This blend of in-person and digital shopping will make it easy for customers to access their favorite music.
With a carefully curated selection, knowledgeable owners, and a focus on both nostalgic and modern ways to experience music, Gryphon’s Wing Records is set to become a key destination for Salina’s music scene.
Gryphon's will be at 119 E. Iron and is scheduled to open in late March.
