VFW Post 1432, Kansas Honor Flight, and Jon Armstrong will jointly organize the 2nd Annual Salute to Our Veterans event at the VFW Post 1432 located on 1108 W. Crawford St. in Salina, KS. The event will take place on Friday, May 19, and aims to honor and celebrate the bravery of veterans.

Renowned country musicians Jared Blake, Bigg Vinny, and Thompson Square are set to perform at the upcoming event. Blake, who gained fame on the inaugural season of The Voice, earning a spot in the Top four on Blake Shelton’s team, will offer an acoustic performance. Joining him is Bigg Vinny, a former member of Trailer Choir and a participant on season 12 of The Biggest Loser. The husband and wife duo Thompson Square, who won the Academy of Country Music Award for Vocal Duo of the Year in 2012, will also be gracing the event. Their two multi-platinum selling albums boast chart-topping hits such as "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not" and the gold-certified "If I Didn't Have You." Additionally, their discography includes two Top 10 hits, "I Got You" and "Everything I Shouldn't Be Thinking About You," as well as the Top 20 hit "Glass."

Admission to the event is divided into three categories, each with its corresponding price. For those who opt for the VIP experience, tickets will be sold at $100, entailing an exclusive meet and greet with the musicians from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Veterans, on the other hand, can avail themselves of tickets priced at $40, while general admission tickets cost $50. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for regular ticket holders, and the event will commence at 7 p.m.

In addition to the musical performances, the event will also feature a silent and live charity auction. Following the musicians' performances, a DJ will take the stage at 10 p.m. to keep the party going.

To purchase tickets, interested parties may visit the VFW or contact Mandy McIntire at 785-826-7653, Jon Armstrong at 515-720-5802, or Steve Murrison at 501-733-1781.

The event will also be graced by esteemed guests from the Kansas Commission on Veteran Affairs and Congressman Tracey Mann's office, who will be available to discuss veteran-related issues. In addition, several support organizations will be present on-site from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to offer their services and assistance.

The event's proceeds will go to VFW Post 1432, Kansas Honor Flight, and North Point Veteran Care Foundation.
