At approximately 8:13 am on Friday, August 11, Deputies were sent to the 5900 block of E Mentor Rd for the report of a vehicle parked in the roadway. The vehicle, a 2008 Chevy Silverado, was occupied by a 25-year-old male identified as Matthew McBride, from McCook, Nebraska.
On talking to McBride, Deputies noted that Mr. McBride was lethargic and appeared to be under the influence. A scuffle then reportedly happened, during which Mr. McBride struck a deputy.
The requested charges against McBride include possession of methamphetamine, interference with a law enforcement officer, battery on a law enforcement officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, vehicle registration violation, and improper parking.
