Salina, KS – 7-31 – An early evening thunderstorm swept through Salina, KS, bringing high winds and minor temporary flooding to various parts of the city. Although rain totals are not yet available, the storm left noticeable impacts, particularly in areas known for short-term flooding.




The thunderstorm, which began in the late afternoon, caused minor wind damage, including downed branches and debris scattered across streets. Several neighborhoods experienced temporary power outages due to the high winds. According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts hit 48 mph and sustained winds of 35 mph. Emergency services were quick to respond, ensuring that disruptions were minimal and residents remained safe.
