Warrant Arrest Made During Traffic Stop

In an incident on Friday, June 16 at approximately 1:25 am, an officer on patrol near the intersection of State St and I-135 made a warrant arrest during a traffic stop. While on patrol in the area, the officer allegedly observed a vehicle with a headlight out. A traffic stop was initiated, and the officer soon discovered an out-of-state warrant from Kentucky for the subject.

During a search of the vehicle, the officer allegedly located a glass pipe, believed to be containing residue. The subject, identified as 38-year-old Brandon Calp of Salina, was arrested on his warrant as well as the following requested charges:

  • possession of a stimulant
  • possession of drug paraphernalia
  • traffic citation
