Do You Remember Watson Wholesale Grocery Co?

The Watson, Durand, Kasper Wholesale Grocery Co. was a fascinating collaboration of diverse businessmen, which included the Durand and Kasper families - both prominent business figures in Chicago. Together, they joined forces with the Watson family to establish a grocery store in Salina. However, in 1921, W.W. Watson took over as the sole proprietor and formed the Watson Wholesale Grocery Co. This announcement was prominently displayed on a building situated at 419-423 N. Santa Fe, as captured in a photograph from the Museum's Collection dating back to circa 1970.
