The Saline County Sheriff's Office has announced that it will be hosting its annual drug take back day on Saturday, April 22. From 10 am to 2 pm, residents can drop off their prescription drugs at designated locations, including Salina Regional Health Center, Dillons on Cloud, and Walmart.

The Sheriff's Office has partnered with local authorities to ensure the safe disposal of the prescription drugs. The drugs will be buried at the landfill for proper disposal. This initiative has been successful in the past, with over 12,988.8 pounds of prescription drugs disposed of safely since 2013.

The Sheriff's Office urges residents to take advantage of this opportunity to safely dispose of their prescription drugs and to keep them out of the hands of those who may misuse them.
