County Commission Approves Senior Services Purchase of Walk-In Freezer

During Tuesday's Commission Meeting, Commissioners addressed a request for action presented by Senior Services. The request sought Commission approval to grant Ponton Construction the bid for a walk-in freezer valued at $64,000. Among the two bids received, JC Builders submitted a bid of $74,550, while Ponton Construction's bid stood at $64,000.

The allocated funds for this project will be sourced from multiple channels, including $40,000 from the 2023 EIP approved funds, a North Central Area Agency on Aging - ARPA Grant of $13,500, and Donor Funds amounting to $10,500. Importantly, no agency 2023 budgeted funds will be utilized for this endeavor.

The motion to award the bid to Ponton Construction was unanimously approved with a 5-0 vote.
