Concrete Pavement Repairs Continue on Sunrise Drive in Salina

On Thursday and Friday, September 12th and 13th, Davis Construction will continue concrete pavement repairs on Sunrise Drive as part of the City of Salina’s 2024 Minor Concrete – Pavement Repair project. Weather permitting, work will occur in the following sections:

• Sunrise Drive, Beloit to Republic
• Sunrise Drive, Ellsworth to Beloit
• Sunrise Drive, South of Ellsworth

The repairs involve removing sections of the pavement and replacing them with new concrete. During the work, the road will be closed to through traffic, with limited access for residents. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to avoid the area if possible, especially since Sunrise Drive is a popular route for Heusner Elementary students and parents. Alternate routes are recommended.

The full project cost for the 2024 Minor Concrete Repairs totals $80,000.
