Community Roundtable on Local Food Systems Set for November 14th

Local residents are invited to participate in an engaging discussion on the state of local food systems at the upcoming Community Roundtable event on November 14th. Hosted by K-State Research & Extension in collaboration with the Kansas Wesleyan University Community Resilience Hub, this gathering offers a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, listen to local insights, and discover the latest developments in the community's local food scene.

The public is welcome to provide input on the successes and challenges our community faces in the realm of local foods. This event is a chance to connect with like-minded individuals in our area who share an interest in local food and gain valuable insights into available resources that can drive progress.

The primary objective of this roundtable is to provide K-State Research & Extension staff with a comprehensive understanding of the remarkable initiatives already underway in the local food sector, identify areas where improvement is needed, and determine the resources required to enhance our local food system. The data gathered from roundtables across the state will play a pivotal role in shaping new K-State Research & Extension programs focused on local food systems.

The event will take place on November 14th, from 3-4:30 pm, at the Student Activity Center Room 203 within the Kansas Wesleyan University campus, located at 100 E. Claflin.
