The Holiday Spirit Shines 'round Town

Christmas lights have a festive history dating back to the 17th century when candles adorned Christmas trees in Germany. The tradition spread, evolving into electric lights in the late 19th century. Edward Johnson, an associate of Thomas Edison, is credited with creating the first electrically illuminated Christmas tree in 1882. Over time, Christmas lights became popular worldwide, symbolizing the joy and warmth of the holiday season.

Salinans do a wonderful job of lighting up the night with Christmas lights and other festive decorations. Here's a look into what's aglow around town.
