BBBS Volunteer Appreciation Celebration

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina celebrated their volunteers, partners and supporters at the Volunteer Appreciation Celebration. Over 80 people gathered to celebrate and honor the volunteers who accomplish extraordinary things through service to others. This event was celebrated during National Volunteer Month which embodies the energy and power volunteers bring on a daily basis as they lead by example—not only encouraging the people they help, but motivating others to serve as well. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina advocates the importance of mentors and volunteers in the lives of children and youth. Mentors provide invaluable support that helps children and youth to build confidence, self-esteem, and resilience. They also serve as role models, helping to provide guidance and perspective on important life events and decisions.
